  • Topic : The worst thing your child did in public?

Oh dear.  I just read this on Facebook from Kasey Chambers and laughed my head off.  She is soooo normal and down to earth!

"Stayed in a swanky hotel last nite but I was quickly reminded of how much we really don't belong in 'flash places' when Poet pooped on their carpet...."

What is the worst thing your child ever did while you were out visiting or staying elsewhere?

hehehe...my nephew once pooped in the ball pit at a McDonalds! My girls have thankfully not done a poop anywhere in public...yet!

The worst thing they have done is knocked over an entire stand of pasta sauces in the supermarket, they reached out of the pram and grabbed a jar at the bottom, and like dominoes...the rest followed. There was pasta sauce spread for 3 aisles, all over me, my girls, the pram, everything! Worst part was having evry single eye in the supermarket starring at me, and then having to go through the checkout, covered in sauce! Needless to say, I quickly found a new supermarket to shop at. Took me 3 months before I'd go back to my old one!

Leisa I feel for you here. This would almost be my worst nightmare! I reckon I could handle the poo and the vomit but this would stretch me I reckon. And its something that can happen so easily too!

Thankfully I can't recall anything too bad that my son has done yet thats had me completely embarrassed. Although I did cop a leaking nappy (just a wet one) at a friends house who arn't exactly 'kid friendly' but thats about it.

Oh yeah, I am hearing you all, I have two that were really embarrasing, my four month old spewed up breast milk all over a lovely gentleman and his laptop, he was sitting next to us on an interstate flight, it was so bad. He was great, much cooler about the whole thing than I was. The second really bad thing was when my son had just turned three and we were visiting his Nanna and Pa, he had just watched Fantastic Mr Fox and the little fox spits toothpaste on the floor. His Nanna told him off for something and he spat on the ground at her feet... mortified pretty much covers how I felt! Embarassed

My daughter who was about 4 months old projectile vomited ALL over me about half an hour before midnight on New Year's Eve while we were 'celebrating' at a friend's house! I had to steal my hubby's dress shirt (luckily he had a t-shirt on underneath) as I was absolutely covered in it from head to toe. Not the best start to the new year - lol

Charlie got into the eggs at the supermarket one day. He dropped 2 cartons on the floor and no one standing near him bothered to stop him they were just laughing. And yes I should have been watching more closely too!! :P

I feel for you RubyMelgren. I have a similar poop story. Mine was on Christmas day 4 years ago when I had my lovely new white pants on. We were at my sister's place with her husbands extended family. It was all quite glamorous and we were opening our pressies all together around the tree with a glass of champagne in hand. My 3 month old son was in my arms looking very cute... but then I felt quite a pleasant warmth spread over my lap. On inspection my once pristine white pants now had a very wet brown stain spreading quickly. I was lucky I was in my sister's home, and the bonus was that my sister had given me a pair of shorts for Christmas! I changed into my new gear, changed the bubba into his "backup outfit" and we were ready to pop that champers glass back in my hand and open some more pressies....

Similar to Kasey, I took Miss 10 weeks out to look at future daycares. While visiting the first daycare she started to fuss so I picked her up out of her pram. I then felt a warm liquid fall on me, thinking she had vomitted I looked down, and to my disgust it was brown! It went all over their floor and I was covered, having walked to the daycare I had to walk the half an hour home - covered in poo!
